His passion for science started at an early age and has led him to pursue a career as a physician. As an undergraduate at ASU he did research with Ana Moore in her artificial photosynthesis laboratory investigating and designing the synthesis of artificial photosynthetic reaction centers consisting of tetrapyrrole chromophores, specifically phthalocyanines and worked as an organic chemistry teaching assistant before joining the Precision Neurotherapeutic Innovations Program. As a member of the Mathematical NeuroOncology Lab, Spencer works on the Image Analysis Team as well as assisting with clinical data entry. This work has been some of the most rewarding of his life because he knows it is truly making a difference in peoples\u2019 lives. When he is not working he enjoys playing and participating in sports and reading philosophical literature. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Spencer Bayless Research Assistant Bio Spencer Bayless is a senior at Arizona State University studying biological sciences with an emphasis in neurobiology.
