Kyle W. Singleton, PhD
Senior Data Science Analyst
Dr. Singleton joined the MNO lab as a postdoctoral research fellow in the fall of 2016. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California Los Angeles in 2016 with a specialization in Medical Imaging Informatics. Kyle has a broad interest in artificial intelligence in medicine, including deep learning, and developing tools and systems that can enable translational medicine. His prior research includes the external validation of survival models and development of tablet-based system for patient surveying.
In his postdoctoral position, Kyle applies his experience in machine learning and data science to the investigation of a novel response metric, Days Gained, that incorporates patient-specific tumor growth information to evaluate tumor response and patient survival. In addition, he is heavily involved in many aspects of data processing in the lab, working with the team to develop pre-processing pipelines for imaging and clinical data that incorporate GPU processing and containerized applications.
