Members: Addie Boone

Research Assistant
Since joining Swanson Lab in March 2009, Addie has been focused on investigating the clinical significance of mathematical models in the treatment and management of glioblastomas and opportunities for personalized treatment.  This line of inquiry has lead to an increased focus on the clinical phenomenon of pseudoprogression (PsP) and the opportunity to leverage mathematical modeling as a clinical tool with which to predict which patients are more likely to exhibit PsP using data from routinely available pre-treatment magnetic resonance images. Additionally, Addie conducts research on cancer care delivery in resource constrained settings in the US and Uganda in conjunction with the Department of Anthropology, Medical Anthropology and Global Health.
