Bio
Melissa Dott, a freshman at ASU studying Mathematics, is working in conjunction with the Mayo Clinic this summer. Born and raised in coastal New Jersey, Melissa is an avid reader and fan of music and the sciences. Through the MCTP summer research program run by Doctor Kostelich, she is able to work with top researchers to gain experience in the applied Mathematics field. With the help of Doctor Kristin Swanson and her team, Melissa is analyzing stained brain tumor resections to map out the genes present and find a correlation between different genetic mutations and the growth of glioblastomas.
